M audio's torq conectiv vinyl is a package consisting of a versatile audio interface and controller with creative dj software. The package is designed for both mac and pc, and is engineered for nothing but simple and creative digital djing. The included torq software allows you to cue, beat-match and mix a wide variety of digital audio file formats, including mp3, aiff, wav, wma and aac. And just like a traditional dj set-up. Torq features an integrated two-channel mixer with three-band eqs, level controls, headphone cueing and a crossfader. Also featured is a tempo-synced sampler, with easy looping capabilities and multiple cue points, so you can chop up a song and remix digital audio, all while staying perfectly in time. You can also route the output of torq to any rewire-compatible host application like cubase or ableton live for creative dj production. The included conectiv interface has two pairs of stereo inputs and outputs, easy usb connectivity and by combining it with included torq dj software, the conectiv interface can turn any compatible mac or pc into a powerful dj rig. The torq software can be controlled via included special control vinyl & cds, or even by keyboards & midi controllers if required. Connecting your dj set-up through the conectiv interface means that by use of the included time-coded vinyl & cds you can spin and control digital files loaded in torq using your traditional dj decks. The conectiv interface also includes standard dj cueing capabilities, so you can listen to any track in your headphones before sending it out to the house system, effectively by-passing your dj mixer if required. Incredbily capable but effectively simple, the torq conectiv vinyl package is a versatile way of embracing digital djing and production.
